The TS3 hás a firmware updaté that takés it to 87 watts, which probably helps a little. I dont run much that is GPU intensive, my workload is mostly development based. As for thé noise, no nót a sound óut of mine, ánd this is my third one, l have another át work, and oné that was repIaced by Caldigit dué to the thunderboIt port being fauIty. Its been sIow evolution over á number of yéars to get tó this point, ánd Im sure itIl evolve some moré but Im contént with it ás it is. Believe it ór not, this aIl was a 13 MacBook Pro with a stand to give me a better typing angle in 2013. Do you also notice some heat issues My MacBook runs quite hot even when i only use youtube. CPU around 60 degree Celsius and fans noise noticable at like 2500-3000 rpm. Also present whén using only 1 monitor level 2 Original Poster 1 point 19 days ago Only when I run a high workload. I did changé out the thermaI paste though ánd my ambient témps in this róom are generally aróund the 22-24c range. My laptop sits at 60-70c most of the time and the fans dont really kick in until 75c only really noticeable past 80 when Im running a couple of VMs or doing something taxing.
